Spring is here...

We had a great visit to Texas! It was so nice to see family and friends and do some shopping on the cheap! We had 6 full bags of clothes, medicines, food, and still had to leave some behind.  The kids really enjoyed playing with their grandparents, cousins and old friends. It was quite busy-we got Easter pictures taken, went to a baseball game, saw a concert, ate LOTS of Mexican and bar-b-que, celebrated Easter, etc!!   Ryan even got to go to the NCAA March Madness championship game with Dad-he was so excited!  We really appreciated everyone's hospitality during our visit.Ryan did a great job of posting photos on flickr so I have included a link here as well as a few here:

It's been very nice weather here and the flowers are in bloom! It's been a nice surprise to see the flowers that bloom unexpectedly in our lawn. In Vevey they change out the flower beds 4 to 6 times a year. The orange and red poppies are so bright and are my favorite flowers they have planted so far.

. The purple wisteria has grown again over our walking path and on the houses.

We are a couple houses away from a church with a large cemetary, and we walk through the cemetary to get to Savannah's school. While morbid to mention it really is a pretty walk because the gravestones here have spaces to plant flowers in them. There is a full-time nursery on the grounds with a staff that are constantly taking care of the flowers and changing them seasonally.

Savannah and I stopped by the tulip festival in Morges and I got a few shots-she eally likes to ham it up in photos lately...

Finally Travis celebrated his 6th birthday! We did a joint party with his friend Lucia and we had 25 kids in pajamas running around our house! There was also a facepainter and balloon-maker, as well as a pinata and other games.  Travis got a lot of toys, just in time for his unfortunate hospital stay last week. :( It's been an eventful month!
